Tarmac Alawi moves to e-commerce with Oman TradaNet

The Tarmac Alawi engineering company has recently announced their e-commerce strategy to link electronically to their Oman trading partners via Oman TradaNet's Digital Exchange, which was set up here in Muscat a year ago, stated a company press release. 

 

The OTN On-line business center is a fully integrated online business tool enabling Tarmac Alawi to exchange documents such as requests for quotes (RFQ) with all their trading partners regardless of their size and information technology (IT) capabilities. 

 

Oman TradaNet is a leading e-commerce services company based in Oman. The company is a 100 percent Omani-owned business, providing e-commerce solutions and products from General Electric Information Services (GEIS), and other leading technologies including Oracle.  

 

Tarmac Alawi has been active in Oman since 1965. The company has been developing the oil industry with Petroleum Development Oman and facilities for the Armed Forces since its inception.
