The Iraqi general commissioner for taxes under the interim government has decided to lower the income tax that is imposed on Iraqis by 15 percent starting this current year, reported <i>Almoustakbal</i> Newspaper.
Sources said that the tax commissioner manager, Talib Mohseen had clarified that this decision is aimed to alleviate the financial burden on the citizens, and to accelerate commercial activities in the markets in order to help in prospering the Iraqi economy that is going through tough times.
