ALBAWABA - In a recent development, McDonald's is facing operational difficulties as numerous sites in Asia and the Pacific area experience service disruptions due to technical issues. Order placement is challenging for customers on both online and in-store platforms.
The majority of McDonald's 3,000 restaurants in Japan had a halt to operations as a result of the outage. Similar problems beset Australian businesses, hurting retailers all around the country.
McDonald's Hong Kong also experienced technological issues, including a "computer system failure" that affected the self-ordering kiosks and mobile ordering. In the area, the fast-food business has about 245 locations.
In addition, more than 160 New Zealand stores reported disruptions that hindered their capacity to fulfill orders.
Following the event, McDonald's UK apologized to the impacted customers, thanking them for their patience and acknowledging the technical failure. The business guaranteed that the problem had been fixed in Ireland and the UK.
Despite the hiccups, McDonald's stressed that there was no connection between the problem and a cybersecurity incident, ruling out any possibility of a system breach.
