Tetra Tech has received a $65 million order to provide services for the US government mission to revitalize Iraq. The work will be conducted under the Worldwide Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) contract with the US Army Engineering and Support Center. Work is scheduled to begin immediately and will be conducted over the next 12 months on a time and materials basis.

This is the largest single work assignment the company has ever received. Tetra Tech will receive captured enemy munitions from US military personnel, determine whether the munitions are serviceable or unserviceable, and destroy selected munitions. The remainder of munitions will be stockpiled under US control until further disposition is determined.

The scope of the US Army Engineering and Support Center's mission includes a wide range of programs found nowhere else in the Corps of Engineers. Major programs include chemical demilitarization, ballistic missile defense, installation support, medical facilities, and ordnance and explosives.

Tetra Tech is a provider of consulting, engineering and technical services. With more than 8,000 associates located in the United States and internationally, the company supports commercial and government clients in the areas of resource management and infrastructure. Tetra Tech's services include research and development, applied science and technology, engineering design, construction management, and operations and maintenance. — (menareport.com)
