ALBAWABA- Although we are in the quiet part of the year for games releases, August is looking to have a little something for everyone including a long-awaited From Software game and the return of the horrific slasher, Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
Here are Al Bawaba's must-play games for August 2023!
1) Baldur's Gate III (Aug. 3) PC & PS5

Although Larian Studios' Bauldur's Gate lll is currently playable in early access on Steam, the full release will be coming on Aug. 3.
Larian are known for their masterful ability to develop and produce CRPG games with previous releases like the fan favorite Divinity: Original Sin II.
Unfortunately, console gamers will have to wait till Sep. 2 to play the game on their PS5.
2) Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon (Aug. 25) PS, Xbox & PC

From Software is bringing Mecha enthusiasts the sixth installment of the popular Armored Core series.
Mecha lovers are finally getting an Armored Core sequel since V's release 11 years ago! It was a surprise announcement by From Software since all their recent game releases focused on the Souls-like genre.
3) Sea of Stars (Aug. 29) Nintendo Switch, PS, Xbox & PC

With its charming retro art style and unique illustrations by Bryce Kho comes Sabotage Studio's Sea of Stars.
Sea of Stars is an upcoming retro Turn-based RPG and is a prequel to Sabotage's The Messenger
4) Atlas Fallen (Aug. 10) PS5, Xbox Series S/X & PC

Atlas Fallen is an upcoming action RPG developed by Deck13, the people behind The unique souls-like games, The Surge, and The Surge 2.
The game looks stunning since Deck13 announced they will be using Unreal Engine 5 in development.
Deck13's Atlas Fallen gives the players a unique way to travel by surfing the sands of its sandy world.
5) Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Aug. 18) PS, Xbox & PC

Texas Chainsaw Massacre is the first multiplayer-focused game on the list and will be based on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise.
It will be developed by Sumo Nottingham and will take a similar approach to games like Dead by Daylight and Friday The 13th.
The gameplay follows 3-4 survivors trying to survive against the notorious Leatherface, who will make it out alive?

6) Immortals of Aveum Immortals of Aveum (Aug. 22) PS5, Xbox Series S/X & PC

After a delay, gamers are finally getting Immortals of Aveum, it is a first-person magic shooter developed by Ascendant Studios.
The story is straightforward, it follows Jak where he joins an elite squad of battle mages to save the world. The game looks absolutely stunning thanks to Unreal Engine 5.
7) Blasphemous 2 (Aug. 24) Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series S/X & PC

Blasphemous makes a comeback with its long-awaited sequel Blasphemous 2, this one is for the souls-like genre lovers.
The game will be developed by The Game Kitchen and follow the Penitent One again on his journey through endless and vicious dungeons.
