Traffic at Yemen's Hodiedah port increases

Deputy Chairman of the Ports Company in Hodiedah, Moraed Abdullah Ojeli, said that Hodiedah port witnessed in 2003 an increase of 120 percent in marine movement. 

 

Ojeli said in an interview with Ath-Thawra newspaper, published Saturday that "there was a great increase in the volume of import and export during last year. In addition, funds of investment projects during 2004 are expected to reach YR 345 million." 

 

He added that the movement of tourist ships in Hodeidah port was affected due to some events. Nevertheless, Ojeli said, three tourist ships arrived in Hodiedah port the last month. (menareport.com)
