Turkey exported 214,656 tons of hazelnuts and earned $863,922,132 in the 49th week of 2003-2004 hazelnut export season which started on September 1, 2003.
According to the data released by Black Sea Hazelnut & Products Exporters' Association, Turkey is exporting hazelnuts to 80 states, Anadolu Agency reported.
Turkey exported 168,437 tons of hazelnuts to the European Union (EU), 25,903 tons of hazelnuts to other European countries, 13,010 tons of hazelnuts to overseas countries and 7,306 tons of hazelnuts to other countries.
In the same period of the previous export season, Turkey had exported 251,345 tons of hazelnuts and gained an income of $580,446,791. (menareport.com)
