UAE customer loyalty program launches in Qatar

Air Miles, a United Arab Emirates (UAE) ustomer loyalty program, teamed up with 11 Qatari companies and launched a frequent shopping program in Qatar. The company already has over 20,000 Qatari residents enrolled in the program and it aims to increase its member base to over 50,000 within the first year of operation. The Air Miles’ launch in Qatar coincides with the program’s first anniversary in the UAE.  

 

“Qatar is a very important market because of its current fast track development and the government’s commitment to growth. We’re also seriously looking into launching in Saudi Arabia and some other Middle Eastern countries in the near future, and with regards to Saudi we are currently identifying and talking to key partners in the Kingdom,” stated Steve Lobb, general manager of Rewards Management Middle East, the company that manages Air Miles in Qatar and the UAE  

 

Current participants in Air Miles Qatar comprise of eleven companies: HSBC Bank Middle East, Family Food Centre, Teyseer Service Centre, Skyline Travel, Kodak Express, Darwish Trading, Hertz, Springfield, Xerox, Toy Village and Marriott Hotel.  

 

Air Miles is an international customer loyalty program operating in the UK, Netherlands, Spain and Canada. Nine UAE companies teamed up with Air Miles in April 2001 to offer the benefits card to local shoppers. In the UAE, Air Miles is managed by Rewards Management Middle East. HSBC Bank Middle East, Spinneys Dubai and Air Miles International jointly own the company. — (menareport.com)
