Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Minister of State and Secretary General of the UAE Cabinet, stated that the country managed successfully to save about $4 billion with digital transformation of public sector.

“The rapid pace of the advanced technologies, the rise of AI, and the rise of the citizen expectations made modernization not a luxury, but a necessity. For governments to be relevant, competitive, and effective, we embarked on the modernization journey very early – two decades ago,” Al Hammadi stated.

Additionally, the UAE government has successfully digitized about 99% of its public services. The country now ensures that 100% of its citizens have a unified digital ID, granting access to most personal government services as well as some private services.
