UK’s Cimac automates Kuwait’s irrigation network

The Dubai-based Cimac Automation, an industrial systems integrating company, has been awarded a five million Emirati dirham ($1.36 million) contract by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Public Works. Under the deal, Cimac will set up a control system for the emirate’s new irrigation network. 

 

A subsidiary of Cimac UK, Cimac Automation has already received a letter of intent for the supply and installation of advanced manufacturing control system. The project’s Initial assessment phase is scheduled for October, while onsite work will likely commence by next June.  

 

The Jebel Ali Free Zone plant of Cimac Automaton will implement the wireless automation project, which includes the deployment of 70 field control units and 14 remote terminal stations with a Scada (supervisory control and data acquisition) system, which will be located at the ministry's central control room, reported Gulf News.  

 

CIMAC (Computer Integrated Manufacturing Automation Control) recently completed a Dh1.6 million project for Qatar’s Drainage Department, which included upgrading the controls, automation and networking of 46 sewerage-pumping stations. — (menareport.com)
