An American broadcaster has issued an appeal to United States broadcasters, currently meeting at the National Association of Broadcasters Convention (NAB) in Las Vegas, to provide funds and assistance for the reconstruction of a public television station destroyed by Israeli soldiers.
Following the destruction of a Palestinian public broadcasting outlet, Andy Martin, a radio broadcaster for WPBR-AM in Florida, wrote to Edward Fritts of the NAB in Las Vegas: "While the NAB represents commercial broadcasters, and the destroyed station was a public broadcasting outlet, American broadcasters—public and private—have a vital stake in rebuilding the instruments of peace in Palestine.”
"As a talk show host I believe the NAB has a vital role to play in ensuring that American media stand boldly for fairness and impartiality and freedom of communication and news gathering, in the Middle East and everywhere.” — (menareport.com)
