Senior managers in the Arab world looking for an American executive MBA degree will soon find one available closer to home, with the announcement by Michigan-based Oakland University, that at the beginning of January it will launch such a program in Beirut.

The 18-month study program will cost $35,000 for the completion of 42 credits. Seventeen of those months will be spent in Beirut, and the final month will be spent at the university’s main campus in Michigan. To be eligible for the program, a candidate has to have a minimum of five years’ experience in a managerial post and an average GMAT score of 500.

The program will be conducted in conjunction with an advisory board made up of Lebanese-born executives, said John Gardner, head of the university’s business school, in conversation with the Daily Star

Reportedly, four Lebanese banks said they would be willing to grant five-year loans to student in the Oakland University program. – (Albawaba-MEBG)
