Net added foreign investments influx to Egypt rose between April and June FY 2003/2004 to $222.9 million, compared to $95 million in the previous three months, said a recent Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) monthly report.
The US led the countries investing in Egypt during the said three months with $110 million, compared to $ 79 million in the previous three months.
Oman, for the first time, led the Arab countries investing in Egypt with $ 96 million.
The report added that exports went up to reach $3048.4 million versus $2890 million in the same period.
Meanwhile, the US also led importing countries from Egypt with $ 1036.6 million in the said three months, followed by the European Union countries with a total of $ 982 million. (menareport.com)
