Iran’s Valfajre-8 Shipping Company (VESC) is offering a new passenger and cargo service between the United Arab Emirates (UAE)’s east coast and the southern ports of the Republic. The route links the UAE’s Khor Fakkan to Jask and Bandar Abbas, the company confirmed.

This is the first direct ferry service between the two states. VESC will be using a 250-seat general cargo/ passenger (RO/RO) vessel for this service. Passengers will each be allowed to bring 70 kilograms of baggage on board.

VESC was established in 1986 as a subsidiary of Iran's national carrier the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines. Its purpose was to encourage traveling across the Persian Gulf by sea instead of air. The company operates RO/RO vessels and high-speed crafts. — (menareport.com)
