Al-Riyadh newspaper quoted data on the value of the currency markets in the Gulf States during 2002 to 2005 as published by the Capital Towers Company. The value of these markets came to $1 trillion during the said period. The value of assets of the banking sector came to $500 billion.
There was a 30% increase in profits of companies during 2005. The average yearly rate of profits of companies in the Gulf States is 20% higher than the profits rate in other places.
