The total value of land transactions in Dubai Dec. 20 peaked at Dhs84.32 millions million, of which sales exceeded Dhs23 million. The total value of mortgages during the period was Dhs61.62 million, according to the Land Department.
A total of 10 sale transactions were registered with the Department by the end of the day, the most valuable of which was a plot in Mirdif that was sold for Dhs5.5 million. The next two most prominent sales saw a second plot in Mirdif acquired for the sum of Dhs3.375 million and another in Al Mararr for Dhs3.35 million.
The Al Satwa area was the most active in terms of the day sale, with some 3 transactions. Mirdif followed it with 2 sales Al Barsha Second followed it with 1 sale.
During the period, Mirdif recorded the highest turnover by value, at Dhs8.88 million, followed by the Al Satwa area, Dhs4 million, and Al Mararr area, Dhs3.35 million.
The biggest area sold was the 19990 sq ft in the Al Mezhar Second area, which went for Dhs2.04 million. A 15000 sq ft plot in the Al Barsha Second Area was acquired for Dhs2.34 million, while 10000 sq ft of Mirdif was disposed of for Dhs3.38 million.
During the period under review 4 mortgages worth Dhs61.62 million were registered, the most significant of which as the Dhs55 million for an area at Marsa Dubai. There was another for Dhs2.43 million on an area in Mirdif and a further sum of Dhs2.1 million registered on an area of land sold in Al Mararr.
