Vassilico Cement’s sales reach 950,000 tons in first 9 months of 2003

Cypriot cement producer Vassilico Cement Works reported sales of 950,000 tons of cement and clinker for the first nine months of 2003, up from 920,000 tons during the same period in the previous year. 

 

Domestic sales increased to 608,000 tons from 558,000 tons from January to September. Company exports decreased to 340,000 tons from 362,000 tons during the same period.  

 

Vassiliko Cemen was established in 1963 as a Public Company by the Hellenic Mining Company. The firm produces about 1.2 million tons per year of gray and white cement, of which about 50-60 percent is traditionally sold in the local market. Exports are transferred from the company-owned Vassiliko Port, thee industrial harbor in Cyprus. — (menareport.com)
