Personal computing storage provider, Western Digital announced the sale of their one-millionth storage-rich hard disk drive (HDD) in the Middle East. With its partner in the Middle East, Al-Yousuf Distribution, Western Digital's growth rate for its operation in the Middle East has more than doubled for calendar year 2001, with an annual growth rate of 30 percent.
“Regional demand for digital storage is outstripping the rest of the world with growth rates of 25 percent, compared to Europe at just five percent,” said Western Digital vice president and general manager of EMEA, Klaas de Vos. — (menareport.com)
