In a tech landscape where the once-hyped MetaVerse has lost its allure due to the realization that creating such a world is beyond current technological capabilities, Mark Zuckerberg is making a notable pivot.

Despite the industry slowing down on MetaVerse endeavors, Zuckerberg, refusing to backtrack, had been channeling all of Meta's resources into the MetaVerse project. However, recent developments suggest that the surge in artificial intelligence has captured Zuckerberg's imagination, steering his attention away from MetaVerse.

With the groundbreaking success of ChatGPT sparking an artificial intelligence frenzy, influential figures from Google to Elon Musk and major players like Microsoft and Apple are all racing to develop their own projects in this domain. Mark Zuckerberg, it seems, is not one to be left out of this race. He has declared his intent to participate in the creation of AGI (Artificial General Intelligence).

AGI, often described as artificial intelligence possessing cognitive abilities nearly indistinguishable from humans, is the sought-after goal for companies in this field. Zuckerberg's interest has prompted Meta to join this competition, indicating that Meta's artificial intelligence department is poised to receive increased investments.

This strategic shift by Zuckerberg underscores the dynamic nature of technology trends and Meta's commitment to staying at the forefront of innovation. As the world eagerly watches, the stage is set for an intriguing competition in the realm of artificial intelligence.
