A car bomb detonated in the Homs district of Syria on Monday. The explosion killed six and wounded 20, according to AFP.

“At least six people were killed, including women and children, and 20 others wounded in a car bomb attack on the Zahraa district,” said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Homs is home to many Alawites and has experienced some of the worst violence in Syria’s civil war.
