du supports National Career Exhibition 2011 in Sharjah

On the first day of National Career Exhibition 2011 in Sharjah, Emirati graduate trainees and du employees- members of du Emiritisation programme Masar welcomed job seekers who visited the du stand, reflecting the company’s position as the employer of choice.
du is participating in the show for the 3rd consecutive year and supports the show this year as the Telecom Partner. The company has introduced an online application system at its stand this year, where Emiratis can register their details and qualifications to create a database instead of submitting paper-based CVs. This is part of du’s ongoing strategy to create its own database of Emirati jobseekers through various channels including the Masar page on the company website http://du.ae/masar where both fresh graduates and experienced UAE nationals can post their applications.
Fahad Al Hassawi, Chief Human Resources and Shared Services Officer, du, said:”Our Emiritisation strategy is designed to offer Emiratis a career and not just a job, we are unique in our multicultural work environment comprising of over 70 nationalities bringing a variety of best international experiences. We are a young company and welcome Emirati talents to contribute to our successful journey; our Emiritisation programme is designed to invest in new candidates’ capabilities and build on their strengths”.
du invites Emiratis to explore 100 opportunities it is offering this year to fresh graduates and various other opportunities available across the business for experienced UAE nationals at its stand (No. 520). Participation at the event follows our continued pursuit of identifying and recruiting best qualified UAE nationals, as part of our goal to achieve greater Emiritisation within the company.
du has participated in a number of career fairs across the UAE, receiving substantial interest from young graduates at a number of venues including the recent Tawdheef Recruitment Show in Abu Dhabi Career Fair. The company also partnered academic institution across UAE and organises various on campus activities to meet students and present the career future that the company offer.
Young UAE Nationals, holding a college degree, are invited to enter the challenging world of du and be a potential candidate for “Masar”. Masar is a programme for UAE nationals at du, and contains a set of six development programmes, in alignment with the employee grade and qualification.
