As Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) reaches its half-way point, the longest running event of its kind in the world continues to attract tourists and residents to its popular array of city-wide events.

The annual DSF, which begain in 1996, will run until 20 February and looks set to continue to entice visitors with its well-thought out array of activities and events taking place across the city.

From local musicians to theatrical puppet shows to delicious street fare and even desert camping trips, not to mention the extraordinary discounts on clothes, furniture and even gold, DSF has something for every new and seasoned tourist.

‘‘ DSF is a great opportunity for both tourists and residents to find great deals and discounts on pretty much everything. What makes this fantastic shopping festival special is there are also amazing cultural activities and events that run alongside the shopping aspect,” said Thierry Bertin, VP Sales and Marketing, Hyatt International, South West Asia.

“People from all over the world come to stay at our Hyatt properties during high-profile events such as these, it’s a great chance for us to welcome international guests at a time when so many magical, cultural, food and art activities are taking place around the city,” added Bertin.

For holidaymakers wanting to be based in the heart of all the action, Hyatt Regency Dubai is located along Dubai’s renowned waterfront promenade and faces the azure Arabian Gulf.

Just walking distance from the Gold, Spice and Textile Souk and surrounded by both modern and traditional Arabic architecture and world-class shopping facilities, this luxury 5 star hotel is the perfect base from which to enjoy everything that Dubai has to offer.

Featuring a Golf Park that consists of a 9-hole pitch-and-putt grass golf course and an 18-hole ‘crazy golf’ course as well as an ice-rink, visitors to the 414-room Hyatt Regency Dubai have numerous entertainment options at their fingertips.

While rooms offer up city skyline views and rich, modern interiors of hardwood, marble and natural earth tones, the hotels five award-winning restaurants, one of which is revolving, conjure up worldwide cuisine, ranging from Italian and Japanese to Iranian and international.

From the authentic and irresistible flavors of Italy produced by ‘Focaccia’ to the delicious Japanese delicacies created by ‘Miyako’, and the relaxed international buffet from ‘Al Dawaar’, Hyatt Regency Dubai has invented a contemporary, yet authentic, mix of fare for diners to choose from.

While Al Dawaar features Iranian melodies played by musicians, wooden floors and a light blue sculpted ceiling that sets a scene of serenity and calmness, ‘The Kitchen’ opens its doors through visually inspiring cuisine, stone grills, and traditional burners – the ideal place to unwind after a busy day of shopping.
