A leading healthcare group in Dubai has announced 'Happiness Hour' across its healthcare, retail and hospitality divisions.
Dubai-based conglomerate Thumbay Group's initiative is in line with the efforts of Ohood Al Roumi, Minister of State for Happiness, and aims to contribute in achieving the 'National Programme for Happiness & Positivity' launched by Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
"I am confident that this initiative will have a positive impact on the UAE community as a whole, and I encourage all private sector companies across the country to follow in the footsteps so we all contribute, in our own way, to making the UAE a happier and more positive place" said Ohood Al Roumi.
Thumbay Moideen, founder president of Thumbay Group, said that the group is proud to support the mission of the Minister of State for Happiness, to complement the UAE government's unique happiness initiative, the National Program for Happiness and Positivity, through the "happiness hour" programme of Thumbay Group.
"We seek to express our admiration for His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's vision of spreading happiness and cheer throughout the country, through this program which will be available across all Thumbay hospitals and clinics, as well as across the brands under our retail and hospitality divisions."
According to Moideen, this program "would also give UAE residents an exclusive opportunity to access high quality healthcare, besides our superior retail and hospitality services."
The concept of 'happiness hour' was conceived following in the footsteps of the government's National Program for Happiness and Positivity, a unique program designed to establish an environment that ensures the happiness and well-being of society. Tackling health issues is one of the priority areas of the national program.
