A video posted to YouTube Monday purports to show a young boy rescuing a young girl from volleys of gunfire. The anti-regime Sham News Network posted the one-minute video, which does not identify when or where the incident took place.
The camera appears to be less than 50 meters away from a deserted street, where a middle-aged man runs out of a building in a bid to flee the gunfire. As the camera pans down the street, several men doing the filming discover that a boy lying on the ground is actually alive, as he moves around and then jogs off, but in the direction of the shooting. He falls to the ground briefly when gunfire targets him, again prompting the observers to assume that he has been killed. The boy then stands and walks, once again in the direction of the gunfire. He quickly ducks behind a car and then emerges, this time holding the hand of a young girl – the two then run in the opposite direction and appear make a safe escape.
