Bollywood superstars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were greeted by fans as they touched down in India following their wedding in Italy.
The celebrity couple, two of India's biggest film stars, married in a lavish ceremony in Lake Como on Wednesday but a strict 'no photos' policy means very little is known about the nuptials.
The private stars, who have kept their relationship largely out of the public eye, offered just a glimpse of what took place when they shared two wedding photos on their respective social media accounts.
The snaps, which were met with hundreds of fan comments, show a smiling Deepika, 32, and Ranveer, 33, wearing traditional Indian wedding garb designed by fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
The excitement was evident as they arrived in Mumbai Airport today, where fans clamored to take snaps of the beaming couple on their mobile phones.
Deepika is arguably Indian cinema's biggest female star at the moment, having starred in more than 30 films.
She broke into Hollywood in 2017, starring alongside Vin Diesel in xXx: Return of Xander Cage.
Deepika and Ranveer announced in a joint statement last month that their wedding would take place on November 14 and 15.
The couple reportedly started dating in 2013 but have kept details of their relationship largely out of the public eye.
Hindi film director Karan Johar, a friend of the couple, tweeted his congratulations.
'Such a stunning gorgeous and beautiful couple!!!! Nazar utar lo! [Keep the evil eye away] !! Badhai ho [Congratulations] !!! Love you both!!! Here's to a lifetime of love and joy!' he wrote on Wednesday.
Fashion designer Masaba Gupta also tweeted her congratulations, saying: 'Ranveer, you are one of my biggest muses & I pray and wish that you and Deepika have an incredible life as man & wife.
'Her beauty is ethereal but more importantly, she has a heart of gold. Keep it close. Congratulations #DeepVeerKiShadi.'
Actor Anil Kapoor added: 'That’s one good looking couple right there! #ThePerfectMatch.
'May those smiles never leave your faces! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness, love & togetherness! Lots of love coming your way!'
The newlyweds have shared the silver screen together numerous times, including a controversial Bollywood epic earlier this year that sparked violent protests in northern India.
Deepika played a legendary Hindu queen and Ranveer a medieval Muslim ruler in Padmaavat, which angered hardliners, some of whom burned down film sets and made threats towards the two stars.
Indian superstar Priyanka Chopra and American singer Nick Jonas are due to get married in India early next month.
