A Donald Trump supporter from California who was caught with a home-made bomb and threatened to kill Muslims has been sentenced to only 90 days in jail and anger management sessions, The Independent reported.

William Celli, 55, was reported to police after posting a picture of a pipe bomb on social media. On the same day, Celli was also reported for yelling abuse at the Islamic Society of West Contra County, California, shouting, "I'm going to kill you all."

Despite the threats of violence, it took around two weeks for Celli to be arrested. The explosive device was found in a police search of his Richmond, California home.

The bomb was later detonated in a controlled explosion by a police bomb squad.

Celli admitted to violating the free exercise of civil rights, but charges related to making criminal threats and hate crimes were dropped.

In addition to jail time and anger management, Celli is on three years' probation and is banned from having an active Facebook page, which he has used to voice his support for US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. In one Facebook post, he lamented that the US was being "invaded" by "illegals," causing him to lose work.
