Much-loved Simpson's character Homer will get a glamorous makeover as a drag queen.

The iconic character will don a black cocktail dress and blonde beehive beside wife Marge in an upcoming episode called Queen Chante.

Blue-haired Marge pretends to be a drag queen to sell Tupperware in the new episode to be show in the US on November 18.

The installment will also feature legendary drag act Ru Paul dressed in a pink sparkly dress and a huge blonde haircut.

Simpsons producer, Al Jean, revealed the news last month when a RuPaul’s Drag Race ex-contestant announced she would also be in the cartoon comedy.

The RuPaul’s Drag Race judge posted a picture of her Simpson's character to her 2.4 million Instagram followers.

The picture appears to be signed by Simpsons creator himself, Matt Groening.

Alongside the photo she wrote: ‘I’m “Queen Chante” on #TheSimpsons Nov. at 8PM,’ she wrote in the accompanying caption. ‘So excited about this!’

Reality show winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Raja, will also appear on the new episode of The Simpsons, alongside Mama Ru.

The season three winner of the hit-reality TV show contest posted on Instagram last month to announce the news.

The storyline comes only days after the show faced a row over claims of racism.

It was alleged it program bosses were about to axe popular character, Apu, after a TV documentary branded him a 'racist caricature'.

The 2017 documentary called The Problem with Apu criticized the stereotype of the Indian shopkeeper at Springfield's Kwik-E-Mart.
