It was learned that she was abducted the same morning.
A traffic constable in India saved the life of a 5-year-old girl who was lying unconscious outside a temple in Mumbai.
On Saturday evening, Atul Ahire noticed a crowd of people near a food outlet outside a temple. When he went to inquire about the matter, he found a toddler lying unconscious. He checked the girl's pulse and found her alive.
"He picked up the child and rushed her to a doctor's clinic across the road. The doctor, after examining the child, told Ahire that she had been sexually assaulted and possibly poisoned and needed to be taken to a hospital," a police officer told the Mid-Day. She was taken to a nearby hospital for the treatment.
"When the hospital demanded a security deposit, Ahire gave them his credit card and requested them to begin treatment," said a source. The girl was admitted to the ICU.
Cops found the girl's identity card in her school bag and contacted her parents.
It was learned that she was abducted the same morning. A case has been registered in the incident.
