The Internal Security Forces arrested two alleged robbers in Mount Lebanon late last week, a statement from the ISF media office reported Tuesday.
The two Syrian nationals, identified as A.K. and Aa.H., born in 1999 and 1985 respectively, were arrested in the town of Deir Qoubel. The ISF seized a laptop and electrical wires, two phones and a gold bracelet during the arrest.
During their interrogation, the suspects admitted to robbing two houses an hour before they were detained, saying that the items found with them had been obtained during the robbery.
Aa.H. also reportedly confessed to 14 other robberies, of cafes and shops in the area, in addition to the theft of 20 motorcycles from the town of Choueifat and its suburbs.
The two suspects were transferred to the judiciary for further investigation.
