Seven people were injured when a fire broke out in the kitchen of a flat at Tiger Building in Sharjah's Al Tawoon area on Sunday.
Two of the seriously injured were admitted in the ICU of a nearby hospital, while others who suffered minor injuries received first aid on the spot.
Col Sami Al Naqbi, director-general of Sharjah Civil Defence, said they received a call at 8.30am and firefighters from Samnan and Industrial Areas rushed to the site and controlled the raging fire.
