The death toll from a fire at a shopping center in Russia rose to 48, fire officials said Sunday afternoon.
Several children were included in the casualties" in the blaze at the Zimnyaya Vishnya, or Winter Cherry, shopping mall in the city of Kemerovo, Russia's TASS news agency reported.
First deputy Vladimir Chernov said an additional 13 bodies were found in a movie theater after earlier reports indicated as many as 12 people were killed.
An estimated 69 people are missing, including 40 children, local emergency services told Sputnik.
Firefighters rescued 20 people from the building and 100 more were evacuated.
The fire, which began on the fourth floor where a movie theater and children's entertainment center are located, has been partially contained.
Authorities are seeking the building's owner and its tenants as part of an investigation into the fire's cause.
