The UAE's National Search and Rescue Center carried out a medical evacuation of a Croatian girl on a cruise ship.
The center received a call for help from the Italian cruise ship’s captain who informed them about the girl’s critical health condition.
When the ship’s location was identified, the center dispatched a search and rescue helicopter for a medical evacuation of the 14-year-old Croatian girl and her father.
Once the girl was airlifted, the center coordinated with Abu Dhabi Health Services (Seha) and informed them that the girl would be moved to Khalifa Hospital.
Upon the helicopter’s landing, she was handed over to the hospital’s medical emergency team.
