A hero granny armed with a mop and bucket of dirty water beat off an armed crook after he tried robbing her village shop at gunpoint.
Mrs Zosia had been closing up her store in the village of Pinczyn, Poland, when the man armed with a pistol burst in demanding money.
CCTV footage shows the robber, who is wearing a balaclava, entering the shop before pulling out a gun and approaching the woman as she mopped the floors in a back room.
But when the gun-wielding robber demanded she open the the till, Mrs Zosia jumped into action.
In the clip, she can be seen hurtling dirty water over the man before running out to confront him while brandishing her mop.
She then proceeded to batter the crook over the head before he fled with just a packet cigarettes.
Mrs Zosia thought the man, dressed in all back, was a customer coming into the shop.
He shouted ‘Hey, hey!’ and aimed a pistol at her, she told local media.
The shop-owner said: 'I decided attack was the best form of defense.
'He demanded money and tried to reach into the till, so I ran at him with my mop.'
She was still behind him and 'only heard him running down the stairs and the screeching of car tires', and didn't see the car herself.
And now some people have said she did the 'wrong thing' because 'it is not worth risking my life for some money'.
Mrs Zosia admitted feeling 'scared, I won’t try to hide it'.
She worked in a disco for a number of years when younger and had experience of separating people.
Police spokeswoman Malgorzata Szweda confirmed an investigation had been launched.
The man, if arrested and found guilty, could end up facing 12 years behind bars.
