A woman has revealed a full face tattoo of Stephen Fry on her stomach - taking to Twitter to tell the author about it.

Rebecca Vincent, from London, who is obviously a big fan of the writer, showed off the very detailed picture of the star to her 3000 followers and tagged Stephen in it.

Along with the picture she said: 'Can someone let @stephenfry know I’ve had him tattooed on me for about 5 years. Thank you.'

The star spotted the picture and replied to her claiming how honoured he was to have his face on her body.

The picture was liked 3,500 times - however, some thought it looked nothing like him and instead looked like singer Pete Doherty.

Stephen Fry retweeted her picture, to his 12.7m followers, and said: 'Oh my, Rebecca. And right by your clam ... heaven bless us all. 

'I am greatly honoured. Important I dedicate the rest of my life to not doing or saying anything so dreadful that you have to remove me.'

Many people went on to like his retweet, commenting on the tattoo saying how great it was and joking about Stephen's reply.

Actor Robert Bathurt even joked: 'Gosh, I thought I was the only one'.

People in their droves took to the post to comment on it, with some claiming it was weird.

Other joked about who else may be on her body: 'You should see where she's got Hugh Laurie,' one said.

While Rebecca responded saying she was saving the other side for another TV legend: 'The other side is for David Attenborough'.

However, other weren't as sure about the similarities and said that the picture of the man, with floppy hair and wearing a suit, actually looked like Pete Doherty.

One tweeted: 'I thought Pete Docherty at first,' while another agreed and said:'It looks more like Pete Doherty'.

One women called Ness shared something similar that Stephen had done for her. Sharing a picture of an Oscar Wilde quote on her arm, which he had written, and a picture with him with her she tweeted the star.

She said: 'Not quite your face and not quite near my clam but am still adoring my Oscar Wilde tattoo you so kindly wrote down for me.'
