ALBAWABA - Due to the recent heavy rainstorm, which swept through the UAE, a man by the name of Ali Rashid Al Ketbi has discovered what could only be described as a vintage treasure, a Pepsi Cola bottle dating back 62 years.

Local news sources reported in detail how Al Ketbi, an advocate for heritage preservation, made the wonderful find in the Batha Al Dhaith area of Sharjah. Delving into the history of the bottle, it was discovered that it originated from the year 1962, and was crafted by the Dubai Refreshments Company, an important establishment in the area founded back in 1958.

In an exclusive interview with the Emirati newspaper, Al-Bayan, Al Ketbi recounted his journey to Batha Al Dhaith following the heavy rainstorm that caused lots of disturbance in the area.

The overflowing of the valley led to the exposure of several ancient wells, which caught his curiosity enough to make him want to explore the surroundings a little.

During his exploration, he saw a hidden rocky crack, where the historic bottle lay concealed. What was showing was not only the old bottle itself but also how well it was preserved, as even its original sticker managed to endure the test of time.

Upon news of this reaching social media, many people online voiced their fascination with the Pepsi Cola bottle, as it's not every day something that's 62 years old is discovered like this.
