Emirates NBD launches exclusive dining programme at Taste of Dubai

In line with its ongoing commitment to provide customers with exclusive privileges, Emirates NBD, a leading bank in the region, announced today the launch of a special dining programme featuring more than 350 restaurant brands. The launch of the new programme named “Bon Appétit,” fittingly took place at this year’s Taste of Dubai food & music festival.
Emirates NBD is also one of the main sponsors of Taste of Dubai, which is the country’s only food festival, now in its fourth year. The event, which takes place from March 3 - 5 at Dubai Media City, is about all things culinary. Whether it is sampling dishes from around the world, watching celebrity chefs in action or taking cooking lessons, the festival brings together a shared passion for food. Other activities include plenty of live music, the “Kids Zone” and the “Unwind lounge”.
Launched at this year’s festival, the new Emirates NBD dining programme also caters to food lovers throughout the year by providing exclusive discounts at over 350 restaurants in the UAE. In addition cardholders will enjoy 20 per cent off Taste of Dubai tickets when purchased online.
“As a melting pot of diverse nationalities and cultures, Dubai boasts the most extensive menu of dishes from all corners of the globe,” said R. Sivaram, Senior Vice President and Cards Business Head, Emirates NBD. ‘Today’s announcement enables our card holders the ideal opportunity to explore the wealth of international cuisine being showcased at Taste of Dubai, plus the chance to continue to enjoy eating out at special discounted rates throughout the year.”
“With the success of previous years, we are very excited in the run up to this year’s Taste of Dubai and are anticipating another fantastic event,” said Anju Chadda, Event Director, Taste of Dubai. “Partnering with the region’s leading bank, provides the festival with a wider community reach and encourages more people to come and join in the three fun-packed days of activities in celebration of food.”
“Dining out is one of the most popular pastimes in the UAE,” continued R. Sivaram. “It provides an ideal time to unwind and enjoy the company of family and friends. The new cardholder offers from Emirates NBD will ensure that enjoying food at this year’s festival will be no exception.”
Background Information
Emirates NBD
Emirates NBD, the leading banking group in the region, was formed on 19 June 1963, when H.H. Late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum signed the Charter of Incorporation of the National Bank of Dubai (NBD) which became the first National Bank established in Dubai and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). With the blessings of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, NBD merged with Emirates Bank International (EBI) on 06 March 2007, to form Emirates NBD, the largest banking group in the region by assets. On 16 October 2007, the shares of Emirates NBD were officially listed on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM). The merger between EBI and NBD to create Emirates NBD, became a regional consolidation blueprint for the banking and finance sector as it combined the second and fourth largest banks in the UAE to form a banking champion capable of delivering enhanced value across corporate, retail, private, Islamic and investment banking throughout the region.
