They were supposed to be presenting the award for Best Kiss at the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday.

But Addison Rae, 20, and her He's All That costar Tanner Buchanan, 22, had something different in mind when they paused for their own kiss before revealing the winners.

Addison let the audience at the Hollywood Palladium decide on whether they would kiss once the two stepped out on stage.

'So we know what you're all thinking — should we?' she asked the crowd coyly.

They got thunderous applause and cheers from the crowd, but Tanner pushed on with the teleprompter.

'Listen, we'd love to kiss for you guys right now,' he said. 'For our new movie He's All That we spent months perfecting our technique.'

Addison added, 'Yeah, so we kind of know what we're doing.'

But there was an issue: 'Here's the problem. The kiss would be so amazing that it would probably run the risk of getting the show a more mature rating,' Tanner joked.

But as soon as the nominee clips finished playing, the two were already mid kiss, with Addison placing her hand on her costars neck and going in for quick seconds.

'We're back!' she said as she pulled away with a sheepish grin.

Once they had collected themselves, Addison and Tanner presented the golden popcorn to Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline of the Netflix series Outer Banks, who showed off their own kiss for the audience.

Addison stunned on stage in an off-the-shoulder green floral dress with a super-short skirt and a long train trailing behind her, but she wore something more risqué earlier in the evening.

The TikTok star hit the red carpet in a striking black blazer and no shirt whatsoever.

She protected her modesty thanks to a sheer black bralette and her carefully positioned blond locks.

The social media guru showcased her flat tummy with a decorative chainmail belt and a flowing black skirt.

Addison, who is friends with Kourtney Kardashian and has made appearances on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, is looking to move into acting after making her name with her popular TikTok dance videos.

She quickly became one of the most popular figures on the platform, which she leveraged into a lead role in He's All That, a gender-swapped remake of the 1999 teen comedy She's All That.

She places a popular high school girl who accepts a challenge to remake the school's least popular boy into prom king material, which also becomes a form of revenge against her ex-boyfriend.

The comedy will be released on Netflix on August 27.

In a chat with Mel Ottenberg for Interview Magazine, Addison sounded surprised at how quickly she went from a social media star to an actor.

'I always knew that I was going to do something in the realm of entertainment or acting, but I didn’t necessarily know that it would come at this speed. I was in college last year studying journalism, and then this all started happening last December,' she explained.

In April, she told Bustle that she was committed to proving wrong those who doubted her ability to transcend social media. 'I’m willing to prove how seriously I do take things... It’s something I’m willing to keep working at and hopefully really proving myself to these people,' she said.
