All the real students were kept off the set as actors took over Cairo University to film scenes for the TV show "A Manager and the Head of a Department". A case of emergency was in play by security officials to provide a safe environment for Egyptian comedian actor Adel Imam for the shoot.
According to Laha magazine, crowds of protesting students took over the school, holding signs with slogans like "Where are the rights of the students" and "No favors in University" as part of the scenes of the drama.
Actors also dressed as security personnel as they stood at the gates of the university, surrounding the protesters, as drama makers prohibit the actual enrolled university students from entering and appearing in the scenes.
The drama stars Adel Imam, Ahmad Budayr, Fatouh Ahmad and Haitham Ahmad Zaki.
