Egyptian mega-singer Afaf Radi will perform the best of her songs at the Arab Music Festival on Wednesday, in a concert that will also feature the band Abdel Halim Nwera, according to Egyptian dailies.
Radi will perform the songs Gharb Al Jazeera, composed by Al Rahabani; Lemin Ya Amar Adena Al Leil by Baligh Hamdi; Betesal Ya Habibi Huwa Al Tariq by Ammar Al Shirea’i; Yehdik Yerdik by Mohammed Al Mogi; Eba’ed Ya Hobb by Munir Murad; and some mowashahat by Fuad Abdel Magid, including Fatan Allathi.
Moroccan singer Rajaa Balmalih and Lebanese singer Wael Jassar will participate in the seventh night of the festival at Cairo's Opera House.
Two other concerts will be performed on Thursday - the first devoted to Egyptian composer Riyad Al Sunbati’s songs, to be performed by his son Ahmed and Tunisian singer Thekra, and the second dedicated to Egyptian composer and singer Mohammed Abdel Wahab, to be performed by Syrian singer Safwan Bahlawan.
On Friday, Iraqi oud player Nassir Shamma will perform a concert along with the Bahrain Band for Arab Music – Albawaba.com
