A photo of the Emirati Singer Ahlam leaning in towards her seated husband as she kisses his hand was circulated over the internet.
Websites announce that the singer’s message to all of her fans is that she loves her husband and she knows how to show obedience to him. As strong a figure, outspoken and wayward as she might appear to be in front of the TV camera on Arab Idol, when it comes to her married life, she does not wear the 'trousers', but defers to her husband who she vowed to obey.

Ahlam spawned huge uproar after participating in Arab Idol as a judge, alongside Ragheb Alameh and Hasan Al Shafei, with her statements and choice of outfits. Even after the show ended, Ahlam remained the most controversial subject from the first Arab Idol season to air because of her comments and continuous tussles with people on Twitter.
She gave rise to drama after the close of the show and even announced her withdrawal from Arab Idol 2 on her personal Twitter account, and dismissed the news later on the same day.
