Legendary Lebanese singer, Milhim Barakat, threw the first punch last week when he attacked fellow star and countryman, Ragheb Alama, for singing in the Gulf dialect on his songs.

While Milhim shocked fans by saying he thought Lebanese songsters that chose the different dialect were traitors, Ragheb took the moral high ground telling netizens that he wouldn't answer the catty comment.

But no one loves a good cat fight more than infamous UAE singer, Ahlam, and it wasn't long before the songstress decided to join in the spat.

Following Ragheb's statement, she decided to add some comments herself: “Ragheb please allow me to add a few words to your statement…”, she wrote, adding: "“The Khaliji (Gulf) song holds great meaning and is a very important aspect of Arabic music and cannot be eliminated.”

So while the fight continues, many are left wondering: who asked Ahlam's opinion in the first place?
