A medical source at Dar Al Foad Hospital, where prominent Egyptian actor Ahmad Zaki is staying, has denied that the actor’s doctors will take him off life support even if his coma lasts for ever. It was revealed that the actor is being treated as if he will wake from his coma any minute and return to his normal life.
According to the Egyptian based daily, Al Gomhoryia, despite the fact that the actor has been in a coma for over 200 hours, he is still given treatment to stabilize his blood flow and heart beats, but it was revealed that he is not showing any signs of improvements and his condition remains as is.
Doctor Yasser Abdul Qader, who heads the medical team treating Ahmad, has announced that the actor is still breathing but he is suffering from a permanent coma as a result of the brain stroke. The doctor stressed that treatment at this point for the actor is hopeless and his fate lies in the hands of God.
Dr. Yasser added that the actor’s condition is very critical but is stable, in the sense that he is not experiencing any improvements or setbacks. Dr. Yasser noted that the stroke was expected due to the deterioration of Ahmad’s health and the increase of cancer tumors, and the actor was aware that he will be entering a death-defying phase, which is what actually happened.
The visitors list for Ahmad has increased tremendously as other artists and fans crowded the hospital to try to see him. The excess of people forced hospital officials to prohibit anyone from entering or seeing the actor stressing that the matter has gotten out of hand.
