Lebanese singer Alissa has just held her latest concert at the Muscat 2005 Music Festival, witnessing tremendous success making her the main highlight of the event. For the first time in the festival’s history, a crowd of over 10000 attended Alissa’s concert, which is the largest number ever witnessed at a concert in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Oman.
According to the London based Elaph, the organizers of the event revealed that the number of audience present was not expected and they had thought only a third would be present. The concert, which also marked Alissa’s first in Oman, had to be filmed by helicopters due to the massive crowed.
Alissa expressed that she was overwhelmed by the number of people at her concert, stressing that it is the first time in her career that this many people are present at her performance. The singer is now scheduled to head to Dubai to participate in the closing ceremony of the Dubai Musical Festival.
On a different note, Alissa revealed that she strongly regrets filming an episode for the show “For Those Who Dare Only” on the Lebanese Broadcasting Company “LBC”, where she was held guest of honor. The singer added that if she had known the nature of the show in advance she would have definitely turned down her invitation.
Alissa had given her approval to appear on the show after the organizers had explained to her the nature of it and so she thought that different topics will be discussed not only rumors in tabloid. To her regret the only topics that were talked about were nonsense rumors.
Alissa was very open about answering all the questions by the host, despite the fact he had began opening subjects of the past that she had put behind her long ago. The singer made it a point to show that she has nothing to hide and was very confident in the manner she answered.
