Despite past differences and disputes, Lebanese singer Amal Hijazi has put everything aside and made a personal visit to Lebanese singer Alissa to give her condolences after the latter lost her father to cancer. Alissa welcomed Amal with open arms and expressed her gratitude towards Amal’s attempt to stand by her side at such a troublesome time.

According to the London based Elaph, Alissa disregarded all differences the two had in the past, which included public verbal attacks and inappropriate remarks made. After over two years of pain and undergoing treatment for cancer, Alissa’s father passed away on February 25,2004. Alissa is currently experiencing a period of utter sadness over the loss of her father, whom is one of the closest people to her heart. Alissa has headed to the old town of Deir Al Ahmar to be by the side of her family and present for the funeral. The singer has put a halt to all her entertainment activities during her period of mourning.

Amal has taken the initial steps in producing her third album, by recording most of the songs to be featured in it. The new album is scheduled for release during the month of April and Amal is hopeful it will meet the satisfaction of her fans. The songs featured in the album are a mix of modern and romance sung in both the Egyptian and Lebanese accents. Amal has so far completed the recording of five songs, which were written and composed by some of the most prominent names in the music industry.

Amal revealed that her production company Music Master might not produce the new album. She denied the existence of any form of disputes simply saying they did not agree on some issues and that the music industry relies on supply and demand.

Amal announced the launch of Panasonic's DMR-E60, the fourth-generation 'DIGA' DVD video recorders. Amal revealed that the offer given by the electronic company Panasonic, which she is their brand ambassador in the Middle East, was a very attractive one that made refusing it an unwise thing to do. The singer added that she is not ashamed to admit that money plays a very important factor in her decision making, and she has such a strong love of money and prefers it over a romantic relationship. – Albawaba.com
