Director Ahmad Al Nahhas has nominated the legendary Egyptian actress Mervat Ameen for the leading role in on the stories in his new television drama “Al Halal wal Haram” (What is Acceptable and what is Forbidden). The drama will be composed of 60 episodes, with four stories each lasting 15 shows, providing a veritable feast for fans.
The Egyptian thespian is just one of two people so far nominated for the leading roles in the new drama, with renowned compatriot Hussein Fahmi taking up the highly sought after lead-role in on of the other stories.
Mervat has a busy schedule though, and wis still working on her new television show “Madrasit Ahlam” (Ahlam’s School), which is a social comedy about the changes that have occurred in Egyptian schools since the revolution. The highly anticipated show also features actors Lutfi Labeeb and Jihan Qamar. and is directed by Adel Qutub .
