ALBAWABA - Morocco's earthquake shocked the Middle East after it left over 2000 people dead as hundreds are still missing under the earthquake rubble. Arab celebrities showed sympathy with the victims of the earthquake.
Arab celebrities have posted their shock towards the Moroccan earthquake and urged their fans to pray for people in Morocco.
Furthermore, many Arabic celebrities have called their fans to join aid campaigns for victims in Morocco following the deadly earthquake that killed at least 2012 and injured over 2,059, many of them critically.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) revealed that the epicenter, which hit just after 11 p.m. local time, was 75 kilometers (46.6 miles) southeast of Marrakech, at a depth of 18.5 kilometers and is said to be the deadliest to hit the African nation in a century.

Haifa Wehbe
Haifa Wehbe, 51, a Lebanese model, actress, and singer shares an X post after the deadly Morocco earthquake. She said: "Pray for Morocco. Oh God, I ask you to be kind to the people and citizens of Morocco affected by the earthquake in the city of Marrakesh. May God have mercy on the victims and heal every injured person."
Assi El Hallani
Lebanese singer Assi El Hallani was one of the first Arab celebrities who offered condolences to the victims of Morocco's earthquake.
He posted on his X account, where he is followed by over 3,500 million fans, "Oh God, be kind to our families and relatives in Morocco. We ask God to have mercy on the victims, heal the wounded, and give patience to their hearts."
Maya Diab
Lebanese singer, entertainer, actress and television personality shared the flag of Morocco on her Instagram story and asked God to have mercy on the victims of Morocco's earthquake.
She wrote: "The footage we're seeing is heartbreaking. May God protect Morocco and the people there. Be fine Morocco."
Mahmoud Nsr
Crystal star, Mahmoud Nsr, who is a Syrian-born actor, also offered condolences to victims of Morocco's earthquake by sharing a story on his Instagram story calling God to help victims.
Mahmoud Nsr said: "Morocco, may God protect the nation and people there. Your kindness, God."
Haya Maraachli
Syrian actress Haya Maraachli, 26, has also taken part in the support campaign for the Morccoan people after the deadly earthquake that killed at least 2,012 people till this moment.
Many others have also shown support in different ways as some Arab celebrities called people to donate blood for those who were injured in the deadly Morocco earthquake while others called to send food or clothes aid to victims who lost their homes in the quake.
It is worth mentioning that Lebanese singer, Najwa Karam, was forced to stop her concert in the city of Agadir due to the deadly earthquake.
Najwa Karam was on the stage of Al Amal Square in Agadir on the second day of the Timitar festival, before she said that the concert would be shut down after the earthquake.
