The first episode of "Arab Idol Season 2”, began with a colossal bang of brand new Arab talent. The aspiring Idols were many, they were ready and with such a vast array of amazing talents, it is anybody’s guess as to who will be crowned this year.

The episode began with a featurette on last year's winner, Carmen Sulieman, as well as a look at the judging panel, including the addition of sexy Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram

Next, Arab Idol highlighted their expansion into Luxor and Alexandria in Egypt and the city of Irbil in Iraq.

TV viewers were  treated to a look behind the scenes with the judges.  Despite some minor and at times fiery disagreements between themselves, it seems they all really enjoy each other and their jobs as judges. It remains to be seen if this was just an act for the cameras of if these stars really are going to play nice this season

The first episode wowed audiences with the auditions in both Alexandria and Beirut. The city of Alexandria had so many talented singers with amazing voices, the auditions literally made  Ragheb Alama gasp, " I feel that Egypt will have the Lion's share in the finals" .  Hasan Al Shafei was astounded as well, commenting, " I am tired of saying OHHHH".

As for new Judge Nancy Ajram, she arrived at her first appearance on Arab Idol looking stunning and glamorous—her sex appeal is definitely  a draw for more to tune in to Season 2.

Aside from the amazing new talent, the first show had plenty of drama. The back and forth between Ragheb and UAE singer and diva Ahlam was priceless. Ahlam was covered in jewels and flair, looking to make her place as top cat on the judging panel and Ragheb was her chosen first victim.

After the auditions in Alexandria, the show moved on to hopefuls in Lebanon. In Beirut the talent pool was extremely high from not only the Lebanese, but also some Syrian hopefuls.  These refugees, despite having to flee their home country, still had the gusto and passion to give it their all.
