Just over a year ago, Syrian songstress Asala Nasri, shocked Lebanese fans by saying that she would never set foot in their home country as she "didn't feel safe".
With the Syrian war rapidly spilling over to its neighboring states, Asala said she worried that her outspoken support for the Syrian opposition would land her in trouble.
But it looks like fame has won the day over personal safety and the star has agreed to make a special trip to the tiny nation in order to appear on hit talent show, X Factor Arabia.
According to Middle East news portal, Elaph, Asala will be the guest of honor on the series that has gripped a region. However, the singer won't be leaving anything to chance and has only agreed to show up if she's accompanied by heavy security.
