Syrian songstress Assala Nasri surprised her fans on social media by announcing the engagement of her daughter Sham Al-Zahabi, last Sunday.
Sham had previously revealed the identity of her fiancé, who is her private doctor, Moataz Naseeron, Valentine's Day.
Assala announced the news via Instagram Stories, where she was seen chatting with her younger child "Ali," saying: "Aloush my darling you look dapper today, what's the occasion?" he responded: "Sham's engagement party is today."
Assala joked: "Don't say a party, otherwise they will turn our world upside down, they're only two and we are four."
Then she added some motherly sentiments: "Oh God we find ourselves having our children engaged in a blink of an eye. Today they're coming to ask for Sham's hand for engagement."
Few hours earlier, Sham shared two pictures from the engagement party, captioning them: "Family getting better ??❤️ thank you for being true, being you.. and showing me a different side to life ❤️ forever yours @drmoataznosseir.
