Models showcased Elie Saab’s breathtaking creations on board high-end yachts in “Yachting Premiere,” an evening purely dominated by glam and luxury at theBeirut Water Front last week. The Lebanese capital witnessed an incomparable nostalgia for its golden pre-Civil War days with a spectacular show that gathered the “crème de la crème” in the fashion and luxury fields.
A wave of nostalgia and emotions struck the crowd when models hit the runway in an exquisite trunk show by Elie Saab. Simultaneously, captivating yachts such as Rivarama, Riva Vertigo, Riva Duchessa, Pershing 74, Ferretti 650, Ferretti 720, Ferretti 870, Navetta 28 and Custom Line 124 paraded with Saab’s collection on board celebrating beauty, style and extraordinary elegance.
“It is truly hard to believe that all this is reality, not a simple dream,” Michel Pharaon told the 1,000 attendees-strong audience announcing the start of the show.
Sea Pros Yachting Premiere 2015, in collaboration with Solidere and Beirut Waterfront Development – the owner of one of the most prestigious spots in Lebanon, Le Yacht Club-Beirut and Zaitunay Bay – teamed together to make this dream come true.
Alain Maaraoui, president of Sea Pros Yachts, was emotional when he expressed to the crowd his pride for being a member of the organizing committee of Yachting Premiere.
“I am glad to have been part of such a gathering in this amazing setting, marrying the splendor of yachts with the beauty of women,” he said.
Speaking to reporters,Saab said he was proud of having collaborated on this event in Beirut in the midst of the regional upheaval.
“This is a beautiful Lebanese demonstration,” the world renowned designer said. “[The Lebanese are] people who never stopped dreaming and never stopped believing in this country.”
Saab added that Yachting Premiere confirms that “Beirut will always be alive, festive and charming and can only reflect lavishness and grandeur.”
